Tour part 1

On the first day of tour everything was pretty normal apart from the fact that everyone had to wake up a three in the morning. I was going with one of my bands down to Melbourne and it had taken more than half and hour to get everyone's bags, instruments and other unnecessary objects on the plane. It was about an hours flight from Sydney apart from all the ruckus it was a pretty normal experience.

When we got there we had a workshop with the AYB (Australian Youth Band)... they were amazing!!!! I WAS IN HAPPY LAND!!! There were other two other tenor sax players and they thought I played really well after they found out how hard our pieces were. After the prac session we had a barbecue with them out the front of the school in which they practice.

We traveled to Wonderland Fun Park and we were all sooooo excited about what we were going to do. It ended up being a fun park for little kids, it was only one quarter the size of Sydney's Luna Park. Any way, we played for a good half hour and then went on the mini rides - soooo adorable. Mark (our conductor) he just said that performing there was an excuse for being able to get onto the rides. The one major thing that we saw was the construction of a Ferris Wheel, it was going to be 70m by 70m on top of an 90m pole. HUGE!!!

After that little adventure we retired at the Hotel Ibis for a bit before going back out to see the Jazz festival at Federation Square while eating Pizza. We managed to get to bed at about 11pm and I was dead, no complaints from me when it came to sleeping.

Work Experience

I haven't updated for over a week now because I have been at work experience and partly because I haven't been bothered. I worked with my "uncle" up in Alice Springs in the hospitality area and ended up in the kitchen cleaning the whole room, which hasn't been cleaned for over many months. "Research" was one of the things I had to do which happened to be in the Desert park and the Botanical Gardens.

When I was cleaning the kitchen, I had completely turned it upside down and came down to the last thing I was going to do, the stove.

I managed to hurt my self on the least dangerous object in the whole kitchen the button the stove! My hand slipped, my nail got caught on the button while splitting it in half and making me feint in the process.

Even thought that part of Work experience was traumatic the rest of it was extremely pleasant taking people on tour just North for Alice. The only awkward experience was that I ended up having to call my parents Sir and Mam while serving them drinks on a platter.

This weekend I am going to be on tour and I will try and tell you all about it.
See you!
